I bought this boombox last week and it has worked great for me. I took it out of the box, plugged it in, connected my Mirge radio and had great sound. I haven't tried it with batteries yet, but works great sitting on the back patio. It has very good sound, especially for $99. I looked at several different ones, but the XMBB1 looked the best, sounded the best and came with extra plates for other radios.
