I am very pleased with my Sony under-the-counter radio. It has a very rich sound and is user friendly. It is very convenient to have presets and though I don't use the remote a lot, it comes in handy at times. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend this product. There is one thing that I did not expect, however. The radio that I replaced the Sony with was 20-25 years old and for years I listened to a Rochester station, about 70 miles from my home,which I believe is a high Watt station. Now, there are times during the day where there is extreme interference, while at other times, I can listen to it,despite some static. The Sony is in the same location as my first radio was and nothing has changed in my kitchen. Despite the fact, that there is a problem with distance, the pros outweigh the cons and I am happy that I made the selection that I did.
